Frequent Questions About Buying Beef
What is your minimum purchase?
Right now, we offer our beef for sale in increments of quarters. This comes out to roughly $1300 for 110 lbs of meat after processing.
We also offer smaller sample/ranch packs, please contact us to order!
We sell individual cuts at the Prescott Farmer’s Market every Saturday from 7:30-12pm.
What comes in my quarter of Beef?
In a quarter you get a variety of everything! There are multiple roasts and steaks (t-bone, New York top sirloin, tenderloins); as well as brisket, stew meat, ground beef, tri-tip, and flank steak.
If you buy a half beef there are more customization options, and when you reserve your beef, we will be in contact to hear about your preferences, and accommodate you as best we can.
What are my pickup or delivery options?
Pickup can be arranged at Iron Springs Ranch within ten days of us notifying you that your order is ready!
We encourage everyone to pick up their beef from the ranch, have a tour and see what a regenerative farm looks like, as well as where and how your cows are raised!
However, delivery can be arranged! Please contact us for details.
What are my payment options?
We require a $200 non-refundable deposit to reserve your beef. This can be credit/debit card, cash or check made out to Iron Springs Ranch- you must contact us for availability BEFORE putting down this deposit.
The remaining balance (approximately $1100) is due upon pickup or delivery of your beef. If paying with a check, the total will be due one week before pickup or delivery.

Frequent Questions About Raising Beef
Are your cows mRNA, Hormone, and Antibiotic Free?
Yes! Our cows never have any vaccines after their initial calf shots as we run a closed herd with a quarantine procedure. Our cattle never receive any hormones via implantation, and no antibiotics via feed or injection. If a cow unfortunately gets sick, we will do whatever humane treatment is necessary, however any cows needing antibiotics are removed from our program.
What is the difference between beef advertised as grass fed, and beef advertised as grass fed/grass finished?
Most cattle in the United States spend some part of their life cycle on pasture- making them grass-fed. However, a majority are then sent off to feedlots, and finished with grain.
Our grass fed grass finished beef has never been fed grain at all, and has lived on pasture and only ever had forage- making it a more nutritious source of protein.
What are the benefits of grass-fed grass-finished beef?
When buying 100% Grass Fed and finished beef, you are buying a nutrient dense and healthier type of beef!
Grass Fed is Good For the Cows...
Each cow lives its life as nature intended- with no antibiotics, hormones, or toxins.
